Terms of sale and use

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

TallShot is a browser extension made by an independent developer (“we”). These terms apply to your use of the extension and to the purchase of TallShot Pro. By installing the extension or buying Pro, you accept them. Our privacy policy describes what the software does with data; the short version is that it collects none.

2. Free and Pro

Free captures a whole web page, or just the visible area, as a PNG at screen resolution, saves it to your Downloads folder and copies it to your clipboard. It stays free.

Pro adds what you do with the capture next: PDF export, which splits the capture into A4 or Letter pages with page numbers and the URL, and blur, which pixelates sensitive areas before saving. Pro is unlocked by a license key.

Some pages cannot be captured in full, or at all, because of how they are built or because Chrome forbids it. The known limits are listed on the home page; they apply to Free and Pro alike.

3. The 7-day trial

Pro features are free to use for 7 days, starting with your first successful capture, with no card and no account. When the trial ends, Free keeps working as before and Pro features wait for a license key. The trial is granted once per browser: a technical cookie remembers its start date so that reinstalling the extension does not start a new one.

4. The license

When you buy Pro, you receive a license key. It gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Pro features on one browser at a time, for personal or commercial use, for as long as the license is valid.

• Moving the key. Open the TallShot options on the browser that holds it and click “Release this installation”, then activate the key on the new browser. If the old browser or computer is gone, write to support and we will release it for you.
• Checks. The extension confirms the key with our license service about once a week. Without network access, Pro keeps working for 14 days; after that it switches to Free until the key can be checked again.
• Revocation. A key is revoked if the purchase is refunded or charged back, or if it is shared, resold or published. A revoked key stops working within a week; the extension then continues in Free mode.
• What you may not do. Share or sell the key, work around the license check, or redistribute the extension or a modified version of it.

5. Price and payment

TallShot Pro costs $15, once. There is no subscription and no renewal. The price is shown in US dollars; your bank may convert it.

The sale is made by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle processes the payment, adds VAT or sales tax where your country requires it, issues the invoice and handles refunds. Because Paddle is the seller of record, Paddle’s checkout buyer terms also apply to the purchase. Your license key is shown on the confirmation page right after payment and sent to the email address you gave at checkout.

6. Refund policy

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, no questions asked. Write to support@tallshot.app from the email address used at checkout, or mention your Paddle order number. The refund is issued by Paddle to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Your license key is revoked when the refund is issued.

After 14 days, we still want to hear from you if something does not work: we will try to fix it, and we may refund you anyway if we cannot.

7. Updates and changes

Updates are delivered through the Chrome Web Store and your license keeps working with them. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we may change the price or these terms for future purchases; changes never take effect retroactively on a purchase already made. If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new date.

8. No warranty

TallShot is provided as is. We work hard to make captures correct, but we do not promise that the extension will work on every page, in every browser or without interruption, nor that the license service will always be reachable. You are responsible for checking a capture before you rely on it, and for only capturing content you are allowed to capture.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, lost profits or lost time arising from the use of TallShot, and our total liability for anything related to the extension or your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guinea, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have in your own country. Any dispute that cannot be settled by email first is brought before the courts of the Republic of Guinea.
